The Three Counties Open Art Exhibition 2026
The Three Counties Open Art Exhibition is an annual event which aims to showcase artists who are based in or connected to Staffordshire, Chesire and Shropshire. Submissions are welcomed in many different mediums including photography, painting, drawing, collage, ceramics, sculpture, textiles and video.
The event for 2026 ran from 8th - 29th August, and was held at Fenton Town Hall. From hundreds of submissions, around 140 were chosen for the exhibition.
My own submission, winter, holding on, was graciously included in the final exhibition. This would be my first time exhibiting any of my own work in a physical gallery, so that was new and exciting for me!
The exhibited images was taken on Ilford Delta 3200 film. The artistic statement required to accompany the piece was
"The image reflects the changing seasons and the resilience of the natural world. For the artist, it serves as a reminder that hope allows people to move forward and that all circumstances, however difficult, remain temporary"
