The Chained Oak still attracts many visitors each year. And the carriageway which tracks past the Chained Oak (originally running from Alton Towers to St. Giles’s Church in Cheadle) still remains to this day – and has it’s own tales.

Whilst in Alton, i had an invitation to take pictures at an event at a local pub for the Rural Brewing Co. So i took up the invitation and took some pictures. Also took some pictures of the village bike. The delivery bike that is, used by the Rural Brewing Co. for local deliveries. Yes, beer delivered to your door! Over the recent Jubilee weekend I was invited to take photographs of the Heritage Day and Street Party by Louie Young, who was helping run the events organised by Alton Community Events. This presented an opportunity to get out of my comfort zone creatively, which is never a bad thing.
